A Comparison of J1939 and ISO15031

The evolution of vehicle diagnostics has seen many efforts to standardize diagnostic interfaces with off-board test equipment. One area that continues to elude standardization is the difference between passenger car and heavy duty truck diagnostic interfaces and regulations.This presentation will explore the differences between these diagnostic interfaces in areas such as protocol standards development, fault code & data retrieval, legislation, end user applications and others.
