Engineering Director, Powertrain Electronics Delphi Electronics and Safety Raymond B. Anton, 60, is Engineering Director – Powertrain Electronics, for Delphi Electronics and Safety. He was named to this position in February 2001. In this assignment, Anton is responsible for technology planning, product design and development, and launch activities for engine and transmission controller programs. Anton has 30 years of experience with Delphi and General Motors. He joined Delco Electronics in 1979 at Delco Systems Operation in Santa Barbara, CA as a senior engineer in Automotive Microcomputer Applications. He progressed through a number of engineering positions at Delco until 1985, when he was promoted to Manager of Advanced Electrical Systems at General Motors, Chevrolet-Pontiac-GM of Canada group (CPC) in Warren, Mi. He was later named, Manager, Electrical Systems, F-Car platform and subsequently was promoted to Director, Electrical Engineering at the Mid/Lux Car Group, Flint, Mi. Anton rejoined Delphi Electronics and Safety in 1998 as Competency Director of Systems and Software and held this position until his current assignment. Anton holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering for the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has gained additional management development experience through Leadership at the Peak and the executive development program at Carnegie Mellon University’s Graduate School of Industrial Administration.
